We intend to give you as much control as possible over your personal information. With regard to user privacy, we have anonymised the IP address which Google Analytics receives. IP Addresses generally are in the format XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX, so the anonymising process drops the final three numbers. Secondly we have disabled Google Analytics demographics and interest reports. These are typically used for remarketing (ie., the ads that chase you all over the web) and extra reporting features. We have disabled both of these features. No personally identifiable information is transferred from 360island.travel to Google Analytics. We set a single session cookie on each visitor to the site. This retains no personally identifiable information for readers and we use it to maintain state for logged in readers—ie., so that if you are logged in the site “log in” you are logged in when you land on the next page of the site. If you are logged in the site like “Guest” , this cookie is removed when you close your browser. If you click on the “Login” check box when you log in, then we set a single persistent cookie and we use that to remember you are still logged in if you close your browser. E-mails and mail lists: Our policy is to make contact with companies and individuals that can benefit from our website services and will thus be pleased to learn about the site. E-mails introducing 360island.travel are sent to e-mail addresses of companies and individuals that we have gathered through serious research and who we believe can to benefit from cooperation with 360island.travel. These include hotels that we have mapped, travel bloggers, travel newsletters. We send only such targeted e-mails that result from our own research and never bought mail lists from third parties. All of our news bulletins and many e-mails carry an opt-out function allowing people to choose to be permanently removed from our lists. We wish to avoid becoming part of the growing problem of unwanted, annoying spam.
